Franskraal Art Route – 29 March – 1 April

I’ve had such a wonderful experience over the past few weeks, playing a small part of the journey to establish the Franskraal Art Route. 💡 🎨✨

Back on January 17, 2024, Dries Dreyer from the Franskraal Belastingbetalers vereniging got in touch with me, looking for information about artists in Franskraal. I shared his inspiring vision with all my artist groups, and with his expertise, enthusiasm and drive, the Franskraal Art Route came to life. 🎨✨

It’s been a truly rewarding experience being able to offer insights, tips, and support to my fellow artists and for the art route itself. The hard work put in by Dries, Cecile, and the team over 9 weeks has truly paid off. 🌟

I feel a sense of pride in playing a small part in this wonderful success and also in helping to nurture a better understanding of artists within the community. Official Opening of Art4Heart Art Gallery

Art4Heart hosted it official opening of the Art Gallery.
59 people attended the event and after my opening speech, just as I started to worry, loadshedding ended and we had light!
The gallery looked splendid and the artworks are just so beautiful!
I was so lucky to have Alet and Paul there, they were helping with the tables and chairs and after the event also helped me with the closing and if they were not there, I think I would have had a meltdown!
I must say I did not know more than half of the people that attended, and that was actually awesome!
What a night it was, now it is done and dusted and we need to sell artworks!

Great Beginnings

The last 2 weeks flew by so quickly and I have met amazing people that popped in at the Gallery. I also had my gallery hanging system installed and it is amazing to see the artworks against the walls without hammering nails in.

The local artists that decided to have a go to use the gallery to promote their artworks have outdone themselves with the beautiful artworks submitted.

The artworks range from sea-scenes, to flowers, to sail-ships. The variety is refreshing and it is nice to hear the comments coming from the visitors, on colour, value, brushstrokes and texture

It is also so rewarding to have people coming in and not say a word, drinking in the beauty in front o them. That is so amazing that silence can also speak volumes!

This week I also got to hand out my last competition forms to both the elementary and High School. Hopefully all these forms will return to me handpicked, filed in and with a entry fee for the competitions.

Art4Heart Art shop is still shaping up in the background, but will gain traction soon.
I also had my first to sales today! I made a happy dance and smiled from ear to ear.
